Since the inception of Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE), the training team in SCE has delivered many training requests to share Singapore’s nation building experience with foreign governments and partners.

These training requests can culminate into customised study visits or training programmes according to the needs of our foreign clients. Through the understanding of our client’s requirements and training objectives, the team will evaluate, design and implement suitable programmes to meet their objectives.

1. Study Visit Programmes

Study visit programme usually range from three to five working days with the aim of providing our foreign partners with a good overview of Singapore’s public sector expertise. The training team will arrange for delegates to visit and interact with relevant government officials from various ministries and agencies.

With sufficient notice and preparatory work, the training team can also put together short specialised programmes for delegations that want to go into certain levels of professional and technical details.

Where it is of interest to foreign delegations, we will bring in qualified private sector players who can be service providers or potential investors or both.

Through such study visit programmes, delegates will have a better understanding on the roles and capabilities of the various government organisations in Singapore. This often leads to more requests from our foreign partners for Singapore agencies to collaborate with them in the different areas of technical and software transfer.

2. Training Programmes

Training programmes typically range from five to ten working days. Not withstanding, we are prepared to customise longer term programmes to accommodate the learning requirements and objectives of our foreign clients. The team has the experience and competence to arrange a myriad of public sector centric training programmes. Typical topics include public administration and management, city planning and greening, industrial park master planning and development, port and logistics, application of IT and eGovernment in the public sector, healthcare management, traffic management, foreign investment attraction, technical and vocational education training, etc. Depending on the requirements of our foreign clients, we may also feature visits to public agencies, plenary discussions with industry experts, dialogues with present and past senior public servants, etc.

Our training team is mindful on our promise and commitment to deliver high standards on the quality of our programmes. We work closely with the different ministries, agencies and other training institutions in Singapore to develop holistic and experiential training programmes for our clients. Trainings are also provided only through accredited organisations and conducted by qualified lecturers.

To date, the training team has successfully coordinated and implemented more than 120 study visits and training programmes for over 50 countries and cities.
